Services

From one script to the whole island

Take a single piece or hand me the entire build. Both work — the only difference is how much of it you keep on your own plate.

Verse — systems · flagship

Full map mechanics

One architecture instead of ten patches. Every stage hands off to the next, and the loop closes.

Verse — one-off

Single scripts

One mechanic, one file, drop it in.

Routes and risk, decided before a single prop lands.

Advisory

Consulting & mentoring

An audit of your island, or sessions where I teach you to write it yourself.

Rescue

Fixes & refactors

Your island desyncs ten minutes in. I find it, fix it, and show you the numbers.

Process

Four steps, no mystery

You always know what happens next and what it costs. Nothing starts before both are agreed.

01

You describe it

A sentence or a full doc — both fine. Screenshots and reference maps help more than a spec.

02

I scope and quote

Fixed price, fixed date, written down. If your idea isn't worth building, I say so instead of billing you.

03

I build and show

You get progress clips, not silence. Course corrections mid-build cost nothing.

04

You get the source

Full .verse files, commented, plus a handover note on every editable setting. It's yours from then on.

Pricing

Two ways to start

No packages, no tiers you have to decode. One free look at your island, and one honest rate for everything after.

start here

Map review

Freeone per island

I play your island, then write up what is working, what is bleeding players and what I would change first.

  • Where players drop off and why
  • What to add, cut or reorder
  • Shop timing and offer placement
  • Fix order, ranked by impact
One free review per island. Every one after that: $5. No obligation to hire me for anything.

Build time

$25per hour

Verse, UI, layout or fixes — same rate whichever it is. You get an hour estimate before anything starts.

  • Scripts, systems and HUDs
  • Layout design and consulting
  • Rescue work on someone else’s code
  • Full source and handover notes
Quoted in whole hours, agreed upfront. Revisions inside the estimate are free.
Where maps die

Your map is leaking

And the part you were about to rebuild is probably not the part that’s costing you players.

Players hit an island in a fixed order: thumbnail, opening minute, the loop, then the shop. Whatever pushes them out at step two quietly decides who ever reaches step four.

Which is why a shop can post respectable numbers and still be broken. It only measures whoever stayed. Everyone who would have hated it walked out long before they got there.

Patch the first hole. Everything downstream is only counting survivors.

1 / 4

The player who already paid you once is the cheapest sale you will ever make.

So the offer belongs where the feeling is — a win screen, a death screen — not parked in a shop menu nobody opens mid-round. That means per-player purchase state that survives a respawn, not a counter that resets.

weak_map(player, int)in-play offersseen on 3 shipped islands

Nobody stops to read inside your island.

Text is invisible at speed. Rules have to arrive as feedback: a chip that pops, a colour that flips, a sound on the tick before it matters. If a feature needs a sign, the feature is not finished.

canvas_slot anchorsper-player UIfirst 30 seconds decide it

Quitting and finishing run down the same road.

The exit is usually the fourth night on one bug — a round that resets when the last player leaves, or a loop polling every tick until the island desyncs. Those two account for most of the maps I get called into.

Coming up with the mechanic is easy. Finishing it is the job.

Finished means editable from the editor, commented well enough that you can extend it without me, and handed over with a note on every setting. Three years in, that last ten percent is still where islands die.

@editable settingshandover notesthis is the part i get hired for

Nobody is coming to finish your island.

The map doesn’t care that you were tired, busy, or three weeks deep in one broken system. It knows two states: shipped, or not. Everything else is a story you tell yourself at 3am.

FAQ

Before you message

Anything not covered here, ask in the DM. Quotes are free and I'll tell you straight if your idea isn't worth building.

What does a project cost?

$25 an hour, and I estimate the hours before starting so you know the ceiling. Your first map review is free — that is usually the cheapest way to find out whether you need me at all.

How long does it take?

Single scripts and widgets usually take two to four days. Full map systems run one to two weeks. If I can't hit your deadline I say so in the first message instead of taking the job.

What does mentoring look like?

Live sessions on your own project, not a generic course. We open your island, I read your Verse, and you leave the call able to write the next system yourself. Most people book a few hours spread over a couple of weeks rather than one long block.

Do you do 3D modelling, props or lighting?

No — none of the three. My side is Verse, UI, layout design and consulting. For meshes, prop dressing and lighting you'll want an environment artist, and I'll happily hand over my layout notes so they can pick it up cleanly.

Can you take over a whole map?

The code, the UI and the layout design, yes — that's most of a build. Art and lighting come from someone else. Most creators start with one system and widen the scope once they see how the first one lands.

Do I own the code?

Yes. Full .verse source, commented, plus a handover note explaining every editable setting. Use it on as many of your own islands as you like.

Will it break after a Fortnite update?

Verse changes over time. If an Epic update breaks something I built for you within 30 days of delivery, I fix it at no cost. After that it's a small paid patch.

Can you work inside my existing project?

Yes. Send the project or just the relevant files. I work in the structure you already have rather than making you rebuild around my code.

How do payments work?

Half up front, half on delivery, agreed in the DM before anything starts. For small jobs it's a single payment on delivery.
